Christmas was fun. I got a lot of good stuff. A few books, some jewelry, a blanket that has a dolphin on it. Yea, good spoils. Oh, and I also got fuzzy socks, interestingly enough.
There is so much snow. It's so deep, and yet, I haven't been out to play in it yet. It's really windy too, but the sun has been out a few days.
Lydia and I discovered a new treat. When the power went out on Saturday, we lit some candles, so we could read. Lydia wanted to roast marshmallows over them,but since those were downstairs, we didn't want to go get them. then we remembered the girl we met on the beach last summer. She was roasting starbursts over the fire. Since we happened to have some starbursts, we decided to try it. Surprisingly enough, it actually is really good. It makes the candy crispy on the outside and gooey on the inside. It works with tootsie rolls too.
It was interesting trying to get ready for church with the power out. The power came back on about five minutes before we were going to leave.

- As I writer, I go by many names, many of them false. Even the name I go by on a daily basis is not my real name. That name, however, is Ella. I currently do educational type things at my local community college and spend an absurd amount of time on homework every day. I also work part time as a bookkeeper and tax intern at an accounting firm. I recently married a cowboy and am living the dream with him. In my spare time, I steal other authors' characters and settings and write different stories with them, then call it fanfiction and get away with the theft. My genre of choice is fantasy, both to read and write, but my writing is more mainstream fiction than anything.
